Having tried very hard to bond with and enjoy the new Lumix camera, I’m sorry to say it just isn’t working out. It is a lovely camera, and it works very well, but I just don’t love it like I do the Pen. My photos aren’t very good, and it doesn’t inspire me at all. So it’s going back to the camera shop to be exchanged for another Pen. I hope it eventually ends up with someone who will love and appreciate it.

This is one of the last shots I took with the Lumix. I think it’s quite fitting.

  1. Which Lumix was it? I’m loving my Sony NEX5 – thanks for the recommendation – I still want one of those bendy lenses!

    1. It was the G1. I got it for the viewfinder, and hoped it would be good for some of my old lenses, but I didn’t like the camera much at all. I think I’m an Olympus person. The G1 is being swapped for an EPL1 with an electronic viewfinder and flash. Since I love my EP1 so much, I’m hopeful the EPL1 and I will get along.

      Have you seen the Fuji x100? O.M.G. I’ve started saving for it.

      I’m glad you like the Sony. I’ve played with the NEX3 at the camera shop a few times and really liked it. I’d read the menus were funny, but I didn’t find that to be the case. It all seemed very intuitive to me.
