As I’ve aged, I’ve become an expert at worrying about things I’d never have thought about 20 years ago. One of my more recent obsessions is the bacteria on the lemons and limes restaurants casually drop in your mineral water. Who cut the fruit? Did they wash their hands first? And during the day, how many fingers have been into the little tray where the cut fruit is stored?
