When I first bought this product, I had no idea what to do with it. I was seduced by the promise of three types of hyaluronic acid and no fragrance, but surprised by the almost-watery consistency of this ‘lotion’. If I’d researched it a bit further, I would have discovered that Hada Labo’s motto is ‘no more, no less’, which, when you think about it, is a fabulous skincare philosophy. Everything you need and nothing you don’t.
Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturising Lotion isn’t marketed as an essence, but that’s how I use it. If you’re not familiar with essences, let me be the first to tell you that they are an essential part of a good skincare routine, especially if you suffer from dehydrated skin. Essences are gently patted onto the face right after cleansing, and add vital moisture back to the skin. Think of it as a tall, cool glass of water for your skin, and you’ll understand why I love essences, especially this one.
