When auditioning new skincare, I try not to have unrealistic expectations.  Having high hopes for a product, especially one that’s been hyped for years, usually brings disappointment.  Too much hype can make a great product seem mediocre, so I try to temper my enthusiasm accordingly.

I didn’t know anything about the Vinosource products before I tried them, except that they are good for sensitive skin.  Because I occasionally suffer from sensitivity, I know that most products for sensitive skin can seem a little underwhelming because they forsake a lot of the ‘wow’ ingredients for those that quietly soothe and moisturise.

So imagine my delight when I discovered that Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet feels absolutely luxurious.  The whipped mousse texture is divine, and it melts into a soothing, aqueous treat on the skin.  It moisturises well and lasts until bedtime, long after similar products have faded.  I regularly use it as a day cream, even on the days my skin isn’t behaving.

Effectiveness: 5 – sensitive skin or not, this works.

User Experience: 5 – surprisingly luxurious.  I would not have guessed this was a product for sensitive skin.

Comfort: 5 – keeps my skin comfortable from morning until bed time.

Repurchase: Absolutely.
