I stand mesmerised every morning currently on my way to get my copy of the National while these guys swoop low and fast past and around me in a field. They are a pure delight but sadly soon they will be gone. A week or so ago I watched as a pair fed five young on a roof ridge in preparation for their long flight back to South Africa for the winter. Astonishing!

I love them. We have a nesting pair who raise their young in our warehouse every year. The babies don’t mind us and flit right by our heads some days!
And thank you! Very kind of you. 🙂
