I rarely review skincare these days because I’m happy with the routine I have. I don’t see a need to try new things when my current regime works so well. I did have one niggle, though. My favourite hydrating serum is made by a company who sell their products in China. This means that there is a good chance those products may be tested on animals as required by the authorities there, and that isn’t something I’m willing to support.
I was delighted to discover Water-Infusing Electrolyte Moisturiser by Paula’s Choice. This moisturiser contains glycerine as well as ceramides, and it works brilliantly to add needed water back into dehydrated skin. It also contains calcium, potassium and magnesium which aid with hydration and help protect the skin’s barrier function.
I like to pair this hydrator with with a heavier, occlusive moisturiser to lock in moisture. I also use it as an eye cream as it’s light enough not to cause puffiness around the eye area. Doubling up on its use makes it a cost-effective product.
Paula’s Choice is a cruelty-free brand. Their products are effective and free from fragrance.
