It’s bizarre living in a country that’s unravelling. Not only do we pay the highest energy prices in the world, we now have produce rationing. Brexiters are keen to blame bad weather in warm countries, but the rest of Europe doesn’t seem to have this problem. Could it be that the country who left the EU market is now at the back of the queue as suppliers try to keep their huge, lucrative market happy? Who can say? Britain sure seems to have exceptionally bad luck.
So that’s the health service, farming, exports, energy, food, transport, universities, and the environment all wrecked by the Tory government while everyone else behaves like a boiled frog. I have never in my life seen such a complacent population, happy to accept their lives reduced to something below the bare minimum. Mustn’t grumble!
Many people looked at me like I was crazy when I said this was where Brexit would lead, and here we are. Fortunately for me and my family, I took steps to safeguard us from the worst of the damage. I do feel for people who either didn’t have the means or believed the lies of the charlatans who brought us here. I have no idea how they’re managing to cope.
